New York PREP's success is due in part to the excellent staff members who collaborate to produce an interesting and intellectually demanding academic program.

Our program emphasizes excellent teaching, enrichment, and creative activities. The faculty is encouraged to engage in instruction and activities atypical of public school education. The STEP/Proyecto Access program recruits and retains exemplary faculty from universities and secondary schools. The faculty members are assigned the equivalent of three classes or laboratories, each of which meets one-hour daily. The faculty is available at other times for individual or small group meetings. The undergraduate program assistants are assigned as seminar group mentors or laboratory assistants. Every summer several Alumni serve as program assistant mentors.
